How many treatments should I have?
We usually recommend an initial booking of three to five treatments, before assessing how best to continue. Some conditions require just the one session, others a further group of four, whilst some long term conditions require continual ongoing treatment.
How do I find a good Acupuncturist in my area?
In the UK, the best way to find a good quality Acupuncturist is to check where they were educated and for how long. The best teaching institutions in the UK usually teach 3 year long courses and the courses are accredited by the BAAB (The British Accreditation Board), sometimes awarding a Degree (BSc, or MSc) on completion. Once the student qualifies, they will join an association which will offer them insurance to practice. The largest association of appropriately qualified Acupuncturists in the UK is, The British Acupuncture Council. If you click on the link to connect to their website, you can enter your postcode and find a qualified Acupuncturist in your area.
